I can't seem to remove the vent from the wood trim. This is a 2007 E90 BMW. Any ideas?

The 2 and 3 picture look like clips to me.

I thought so too, but the top piece pulls away from it. I've gotten the top side of the trim loose enough to pull off but the sides and bottom seem to just be stuck.

Worst realization: I probably broke something.

Call you local Bimmer dealership and request a diagram.

Always good to have a relationship with a parts department!

I hunted on the internet for a bit but couldn't find a specific enough diagram - just general dash trim.

hahaha... Dealership was useless. Couldn't even transfer me to a tech. Parts guy told me to look on a forum. Gonna see if I still have that techs number....
